Dear Andrew Sibbald Families,

We hope you had an enjoyable Spring Break with just the right amount of rest, relaxation or adventure for your family.

Thank you to Andrew Sibbald staff, students and community for welcoming me to this great school. I enjoyed meeting many of you during Parent Conferences. I have enjoyed greeting students in the morning during outside supervision and watching them engage in great play over their outside time at lunch.

Literacy Survey

Thank you to all of our Grade 1, 2 and 3 parents that completed our literacy survey during parent conferences prior to the break. If you did not get an opportunity to complete the survey, we would love to get your feedback. We would invite you to complete this short 7-10 minute survey as it will provide us with some valuable information regarding Home Literacy. You can access the survey using the link below. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Physical Education - Gymnastics

As a part of our Physical Education and Wellness curriculum, students will be participating in gymnastics for the next two and a half weeks. We would invite students to dress in appropriate clothing and take the necessary precautions to ensure they are able to fully participate in this activity. Students should wear form fitting or tighter clothing (avoid baggy pants or shirts and dresses). Students with longer hair will be asked to tie their hair back with a hair clip or elastic. As well, students will be asked to remove their footwear including their socks during this time. Jewelry such as necklaces, rings or long earrings  will have to be removed prior to participation or an even better option would be to leave these items at home.

New: Spring Flower and Plant Fundraiser

Happy Spring from Parent Association! We are doing a spring flower fundraiser with all proceeds going towards science and robotics materials for our students. Get into gardening with your kids and choose from strawberry baskets, veggie and herb packs or order some lovely flower baskets for the special moms and grandmas in your life. Plants will be delivered to the school just before Mother's Day. For more information and to sneak a peek at the plants click here:
