One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

About Our Parent Society

School Council meetings are held in the school library on the following dates:

September 9, 2026 at 6:30pm

*note, this is our Annual General Meeting (AGM). We will set the remaining meeting dates for 2026-27, at this meeting.

Our Parent Society is known as the Andrew Sibbald Parent Association.

Parent Society meetings are held on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays and follow the School Council Meetings.

Parent involvement at Andrew Sibbald School is highly valued. Our Parent Association provides opportunities for parents to make a difference at our school.

Parent Association is the primary fundraising organization for the school. It also contributes to a sense of community by organizing extracurricular family events outside of school hours. Parent Association is a separate legal identity from School Council. Meetings are open to all parents and occur immediately following School Council meetings.
