Pokémon Cards

Pokémon cards and other such toys from home are not to be brought to school.

Bikes, In-Line Skates & Skateboards

For safety reasons and to comply with the law, we expect helmets will be worn when riding bikes, in-line skates, and skateboards to and from school. Please note, bikes, in-line skates and skateboards are not allowed to be used on CBE property.

Students riding their bikes or scooters to school are asked to dismount once they reach the school grounds and walk their bikes to the bike racks. Students are strongly encouraged to lock their bike or scooter and to keep their lock combinations private or their keys in a safe place. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Sports & Electronic Equipment

For safety reasons, students are to leave lacrosse sticks, hockey sticks, etc. at home. We also advise that expensive items such as electronic equipment stay at home. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Cell Phones & Smartwatches

In accordance with CBE’s “Away for the Day” guidelines for K-9 students (which aligns with Ministerial Order #014/2024: Standards for the Use of Personal Mobile Devices and Social Media in Schools) students are not to use cell phones or smartwatches while at school. These are to be kept in student backpacks or stored in the main office. School phones are available for students who need to phone their parents during the day. If, for safety reasons, parents wish their children to carry cell phones or watches, these devices must be turned off and away during the day and can be turned on once the students are on their way home. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

The taking or distributing of pictures of other students is not permitted.

Lost & Found

Found clothing is placed in the Lost and Found. Children/parents should check the Lost and Found frequently for lost items. If items are not claimed within a reasonable length of time, we will donate them to charity.
