Dear Andrew Sibbald Families,  

We hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend enjoying some of this beautiful fall weather. We look forward to seeing many of you on Thursday evening between 4:00 – 6:45 pm. Teachers are looking forward to touching base with you and your children and many have had students complete some awesome work samples or activities to share with you. If your child’s learning is supported through an IPP, you will receive (or will have already received) a copy of a “Parent Perspective” form. Thanks for completing this and sharing it with your child’s teacher. IPPs will go home the week of October 7th – 11th.

Terry Fox Run 

We will be holding our annual Terry Fox Run on Friday, October 4th.  A small committee of grade five students are planning this event, and more details are to follow. Here’s a short video about Terry Fox (if his name is new to you or your family).  

 

Crosswalk & School Zone Safety  

As a part of their ‘Back-to-School Blitz,’ CPS will be visible along Lake Bonavista Drive this week. We are grateful to the officers from the Traffic Safety unit for their presence and their partnership. Thank you to Ms. Chen, Mrs. Sampson and Ms. Harris for their support in getting our AMA Student Patrol Team up and running. Students will undergo training at the end of September. Lastly, parents, thank you for your continued diligence around safety and your patience before and after school. It’s greatly appreciated.
