Monday Message – December 1, 2025 

 

Dear Parents & Guardians,  

 

Thank you for your kind messages of support and congratulations. They mean a lot. The recruitment for Andrew Sibbald’s next principal has begun and once I receive the survey link to collect your input, sent on behalf of our Education Director, I will send it along.  

 

Parents, thank you for connecting with teachers for Parent Teacher Conferences last week. I know the teachers appreciated celebrating student’s current progress and discussing next steps in their learning and citizenship. Student report cards will be available in February 2026 and will reflect assessment of learning outcomes taught over the first reporting period.  

 

Thank You Volunteers... & Calgary Fire Department! 

We hope that the parent volunteers who joined the Kindergarten and Grade Two field trips last week enjoyed their time. Thank you for helping our staff make these experiences possible for students. Check out some of the learning and photos our Kindergarten students completed while at the Parkland Fire Station here. They are sure to bring a smile to your face. Same goes for the Grade Two Studio Bell National Music Center field trip; amazing moments of learning & exploration captured!  

 

Student AMA Patrols  

Thank you to Ms. Chen, Ms. Braat, and Mrs. Bauman for supporting the training of our AMA Patrol Team this year. So far, students are doing an excellent job with their duties. Parents we appreciate your patience and support at the crosswalk. Thank you! 

 

Hip Hop Dance Residency Begins This Week  

We are all looking forward to the SoundKreations dance residency that begins this week. Students will participate during their Music block, and we are grateful to Mrs. Odegard for leading this experience for students. Thanks again to the Andrew Sibbald Parent Association for covering the cost of this residency for students.
