School Council Meeting – Wednesday @ 7:00 p.m. Learning Commons
Parents and guardians, please join us on Wednesday evening for our School Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. Our Grade 1 and Grade 2 teachers will be sharing some learning highlights from Grade 1 and Grade 2. The Parent Association Meeting will meet directly after the School Council Meeting.
National Volunteer Week is April 27 - May 3
In honor of National Volunteer Week, we would love to give a special shout out to our awesome Sibbald volunteers. We couldn’t do it without you! Please save the date – the morning of Friday, May 23rd we will be hosting our Volunteer Tea. More information to follow in the coming weeks.
Coding, Coding and More Coding!
Last Friday morning during Maker Space for our Gr.1-3 students, students were challenged to use our school’s robotics called, Tale-Bots for coding. Then, on Thursday, April 3rd, our Grade 4 students had the exciting opportunity to dive into the world of computer science, thanks to a special STEM collaboration with CGI (a local IT company). The programmers led a hands-on coding workshop featuring Ozobots, small robots that are programmed using block coding. The students eagerly took on learning to code the Ozobots and seeing their creations come to life. Their enthusiasm and problem-solving skills were impressive.
