Dear Andrew Sibbald Families,
On behalf of all of our staff, thank you for the Staff Appreciation continental breakfast this week. Thank you also to all of the parents who contributed to the Student Voice bake sales last week. The baked goods were amazing, and students were very excited to sell. Many students purchased treats or donated their loonies and toonies in support of AARCS. In total, $897.00 was raised! Thank you for your generosity and support.

Term Two Learning Scope and Sequence Documents
Parents, teachers have sent home a paper copy of this term’s Scope and Sequence documents this week. These documents outline all the outcomes that students will engage in between February and June. As always, please reach out to your child’s teacher around any assessment related questions or concerns. Teachers look forward to meeting with you one-on-one on March 20th and 21st for Parent Teacher Conferences. Please save the date!
School Council Update
Our March 12th School Council and Parent Association meetings will be moved online due to the labor action. An email with the Microsoft Teams link will be sent out to all parents and guardians in advance of the meeting.
Parent Association Updates
The Casino Coordinator Position has been filled. Thank you to all of our awesome parents who volunteer on our School Council and Andrew Sibbald Parent Association. Students at Andrew Sibbald benefit from many learning enhancements and we appreciate you!

Pink Shirt Day Celebrations at Andrew Sibbald this Week
Thank you to Mrs. Braun, Mrs. Swanson and Mrs. Hayes (and all of our awesome Gr. 3 and Mon/Wed Kinder students) who will be hosting their Celebration of Learning on Monday morning at 9:45 am. We will also be celebrating Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday morning this week with Children’s singer, Mary Lambert who will be performing for students. All staff & students are encouraged to wear pink on Monday & Wednesday this week.
Spirit Day - Twin Day – Thursday
All students and staff are invited to dress like twins, triplets or other multiples on Thursday. Many of us will be wearing our Sibbald gear so we can be “twinning” with our awesome school community. Thanks to Mrs. Sampson and our Gr. 4 & 5 Student Voice group for organizing this day.
