Dear Andrew Sibbald Families,

As we enter our last week of the school year, I want to extend a huge thank you for being great partners in supporting student learning at Andrew Sibbald this year. Your support is seen and felt by all, and on behalf of our staff, we hope your summer is full of adventure, joy, rest and connection! We can’t wait to see the students back in September for another awesome year of learning.

Pancake Breakfast Thank You!

Thank you to the parents who volunteered at the pancake breakfast last week. The students had a wonderful time, and it was great to see community and Stampede Spirit represented at Andrew Sibbald. We had a fun surprise visit from the Calgary Fire Department who engaged with our Gr. 3 students. Thanks, also, to the parents who volunteered in the afternoon for the Western Heritage Themed Sports Day. A lot of fun was had by all! You can see some of the day represented here and here

Report Cards Available Wednesday

Parents and guardians, report cards will be accessible for viewing through your MyCBE account on Wednesday, June 25th. It’s important to note that report cards are only available to parents until July 25th, 2025. The last day of school for students is Thursday, June 26th at noon. Teachers will be available on Friday, June 25th should you need to connect around your child’s report card; however, an appointment must be arranged in advance by emailing your child’s teacher. Thank you!

2025-26 Bell Time Changes

Andrew Sibbald’s 2025-26 school calendar is now published for viewing here.  As you are aware, due to transportation demands across the CBE, our school hours have shifted to accommodate student need.

School Hours

Soft Entry 7:50 – 8:00

Mon – Thurs - 8:00 – 2:30

Friday – 8:00 – 12:00

Morning recess (Mon-Thurs) 10:15 – 10:30

Lunch – 11:30 – 12:11

Our lunch recess time has been reduced by 1 minute as we were able to make up some instructional minutes on Friday morning by combining nutritional break with DPA (daily physical activity), which will be led by teachers. Parents, please reach out to me if you have any questions. As previously stated, student’s unstructured playtime is important and we recognize the need to maximize this time for their wellbeing.
