Dear Andrew Sibbald Families,  

In Gratitude  

On our staff's behalf, thank you for all you have done to support our school community this year! We are grateful to you for your kindness, support, and engagement. We have lots to celebrate this school year and we look forward to saying farewell to our Grade 5 and Grade 6 students on Tuesday. We are also looking forward to celebrating the talent of some of our students at Sibbald’s, “Lights, Camera, Talent!” show tomorrow.  

As we look ahead to next year, we already have many exciting learning opportunities for our students planned and can’t wait to see them again in August.  

We will send out another farewell message later this week; however, please know we wish you an awesome last week ahead.  

Report Cards – Available on Wednesday  

Parents & guardians, your child’s report card will be available through your MyCBE PowerSchool account on Wednesday this week. We hope you enjoy celebrating your child’s success and progress with them. The report card reflects end-of-year reporting expectations and summative achievement of learning outcomes. Please see CBE’s assessment & reporting information here for more resources related to reporting.  

If you need to arrange a time to speak with your child’s teacher around a report card concern, please contact the office or your child’s teacher to arrange an appointment.

2024-2025 Classroom Placements 

On August 27th, your child’s new classroom teacher will send you an email welcoming your child into his or her new classroom community. We are grateful to our teachers for supporting students in their transitions so thoughtfully. Lastly, it’s important to note that our CBE staffing process is still ongoing (continues into this week), and some teacher staffing/placements will continue into the summer.

Gr. 5 & Gr. 6 Farewells – Tuesday  

Thanks so much to the parent volunteers who are helping to organize a fun treat for the students and setting up decorations to help the students feel special in their last week of elementary school. Please know that all siblings (Sibbald and otherwise) are invited to attend the farewell with you (please save them a seat when you arrive). Sibbald siblings will be called down to the gym before each farewell and will be invited to return to class after the farewells have ended. Lastly, thanks to Mrs. Gordon, Mrs. Drever, Mrs. Sampson, Ms. Chen and Ms. Harris for their work organizing these celebrations for our awesome Gr. 5 and 6 students. 

Last Day of School – Thursday (11:30 dismissal) 

Just a reminder that our last day of school is on Thursday, with an 11:30 a.m. dismissal time.
