Dear Andrew Sibbald families,  

I hope this message finds you well!  

As we support life-long learning in our school, leadership opportunities for our students are important and I want to take this opportunity to recognize students who step up to help. We had a great group volunteer at our School Dance earlier this month, we have a motivated group of grade 4 students who have led the work for our Craft Club, along with Ms. Craik. This week sees our grade 4 and 5 students begin leading intramurals under the guidance of Mr. B. as well as some older students taking on roles to support our Volunteer Tea.  It is great to build the leadership skill and interest in all our students. I continue to be impressed with all our staff who support our students to take on new opportunities in our learning community.

Grade 5 Updates 

  • Please save the date for the Grade 5 Farewell is planned for June 23 at 1:15pm.  
  • Nickle School Open House:
    • Nickle School will host an Open House for families new to Nickle for the 2026-27 school year, who are interested in learning more about the school. They are pleased to offer a self-guided tour of the school, and a Scavenger Hunt for attendees.  
    • When: Thursday, May 7, 2026 
    • Time: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm  
    • Where: Main Foyer, Nickle School, 2500 Lake Bonavista Dr. SE
