We made it to June! This month always brings a mix of emotions - reflections on a job well done this school year, uncertainty about upcoming transitions and excitement for summer adventures. As we continue to diligently finish off our learning outcomes, prepare for new opportunities and celebrate accomplishments this month still requires focus, consistency and collaboration. Thank you, families, for your continued support of our work at Andrew Sibbald School!

Pancake Breakfast | Call for Volunteers 

Our Parent Association’s Pancake Breakfast is coming up on Thursday, June 18 and the team is seeking volunteers to support. Please sign up at the following link.  


Registration Open | Yellow School Bus Transportation for 2026-27 

The following message is from CBE Transportation:  

Families are now able to apply for yellow school bus service for the 2026-27 school year. Registration is available through your MyCBE account. 

Families must apply by Sunday, June 14, 2026, for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year. CBE will continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 14 deadline will be delayed. It may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus. 

  

Service fees: 

Regular Program 

  • Lives more than 1.6 km (K-6) or 2 km (7-12) from school, designated to general transportation 
  • Community Stop 
  • Elementary (K-6) - stop within 1.6 km of home 
  • $500/year 

Note: CBE Transportation fees will be finalized when the budget is approved by the Board of Trustees at the end of May.  

CBE recognizes that this is a significant increase. There are a couple of reasons for the fee increase. CBE Transportation has been operating with an operating reserve for the last several years that has been used to supplement fees. This reserve has now run out and the overall cost of providing this service has increased.  

Families can cancel with no financial impact by submitting a cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2026.
