The week of February 24 to February 27, students recognized and celebrated Pink Shirt Day. We kicked off the week with a celebration of learning hosted by our Monday/Wednesday Kindergarten class as well as our grade three classes. They shared the learning they have been engaged with ranging from reader's theatre to singing. Then on Wednesday, we hosted Mary Lambert, Juno Award winning Children's performer, who shared her talents with us, got us singing and reflecting on how we can be a good friend and how we can prevent bullying from happening. Each of our classrooms was also involved in a kindness challenge, where students "caught" each other doing kind things. Students jotteed thsi downon a pink sticky note and added it to their pink shirt in their classrooms. Check out the presentation below for some images from the week.
