Student well-being is one of the three measures on our School Development Plan. We know that when students can participate in active citizenship in school, their well-being improves. Active citizenship takes on many forms at Sibbald.  For the past two decades, students, staff and families at Sibbald have been supporting Kid’s Cancer Care. Every year, we come together as a community for these brave young people and their families, offering our unwavering support and commitment to making a difference in their lives.

This year, we're excited to announce our participation in the newly named "Rock Your Locks" campaign. This is an incredible opportunity for us to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research and support programs such as Camp Kindle. By participating in events like "Shave Your Lid for a Kid,” “The Big Brave” and now “Rock Your Locks," we can help contribute to a brighter future for these young warriors.

This year we will invite students that would like to join us in this meaningful cause to sign up to color, cut or shave their hair and raise funds to support kids fighting cancer. Expression of interest letters will go home with students interested in participating on Wednesday, May 15th. This letter will contain all the information regarding the requirements for participation in this incredible event.  Together, we can make a significant impact and bring hope to children and families affected by childhood cancer. Thank you!
