As we wrap up September, we appreciate the change in season and the beautiful fall colours. We re-affirm our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation as a school community and, we honour and remember on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
October is set to be a busy month, and we are looking forward to some wonderful learning opportunities and events which will allow us to connect as a school community!

Truth and Reconciliation Commitment
As a school, we are renewing our Truth and Reconciliation commitment. The updated commitment can be viewed on our school website. This is done annually in all CBE schools and will be shared with students as part of our NDTR Assembly on Tuesday.
Art Felt Residency
All Andrew Sibbald students will be participating in our Art Felt residency over the coming weeks. This is held at school and presented by ArtFelt Studios. During their residency time, classes will participate in a 2.5-hour workshop where they will create a project related to curricular topics. Thank you to our Parent Association for making this residency possible.
Terry Fox Run
We are pleased to announce that Andrew Sibbald School will be participating in the annual Terry Fox Run on Friday, October 9.
The Terry Fox Run is a wonderful opportunity for our students to come together as a school community while learning about Terry Fox, his incredible determination, and his dream to help others through cancer research.
This year, our school fundraising goal is $630! Every donation, big or small, helps us get closer to reaching our goal. We encourage families to support this important cause in whatever way they are able. Donations will be collected at school and through the online platform. Donations will be collected until the end of the day on October 9.
On October 9, our whole school community will participate in the Terry Fox Run. We hope this will be a meaningful and positive experience as students learn about Terry's legacy and the impact that one person can have when they choose to make a difference.
Let's work together to “Finish It” and help carry Terry's dream forward!

Cookie Dough Fundraiser
Our Parent Association is launching their Cookie Dough Fundraiser on October 5. More details to come about the particulars, how to place orders etc. There are some fantastic prizes available for top sellers and the class who sells the most cookie dough. Please stay tuned!
Halloween Dance
Our Parent Association will be hosting a Halloween Dance on Thursday, October 29. Families will have an opportunity to sign up to attend but to begin, the Parent Association is looking for volunteers. Please sign up for a volunteer position at the following link: Halloween Dance Volunteers
